My
Story

Hi! My name is Sydnie Waller. I’m a Nashville native who grew up in a lively, close‑knit family with three sisters and one brother. I’m also the daughter of a Legal Aid attorney and a former police officer — the original “Law and Order” duo who shaped my values of service, discipline, and integrity.

I am currently a third‑year senior student‑athlete at Syracuse University, majoring in Marketing Management through the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, with a minor in Public Communications at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. After graduating in May 2026, I will continue my academic and athletic journey at Mississippi State University, where I will pursue my Master of Business Administration while joining their volleyball program. Looking ahead, I aspire to play my sport professionally and potentially pursue a law degree to expand my impact in the sports, entertainment, or media industries.

During my time at Syracuse, I’ve earned Dean’s List honors every semester and have been named to the ACC All‑Academic Team for the past two years. I take pride in my commitment to academic excellence, personal growth, and the discipline required to balance Division I athletics with rigorous coursework.
Over the past three years, I’ve gained meaningful experience across marketing, communications, and digital media through internships and leadership roles. These opportunities have strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, understand audiences, manage projects, and create content with purpose. I currently hold multiple leadership positions on campus, which have helped me grow as both a professional and a collaborator. The relationships I’ve built at Syracuse — academically, socially, and athletically — are a core part of who I am, and I approach every project with intention and heart.

Outside of school and volleyball, I stay deeply involved in my community. I am an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and participate in organizations dedicated to service, mentorship, and supporting the athletic community. I’m also a proud “side‑questor” — always exploring new interests, creative outlets, and media spaces. When I’m not studying or competing, you can usually find me reading, spending time with friends, shopping, or trying new foods.
